Bengaluru metro commuters are bracing for another fare hike, with automatic increases of up to 5% expected to kick in from February 2026. This decision follows a significant 71.43% fare increase in February 2025, which made Bengaluru Metro the priciest in India. The Fare Fixation Committee's recommendation aims to ensure the financial stability of the metro system, considering rising operational costs.
