Chardham Yatra 2025: The doors of the Yamunotri dham located in the higher Himalayan region of Uttarakhand will open on April 30, coinciding with Akshaya Tritiya. The doors will be open to devotees at 11:55 AM. The announcement for the same was made today by Shri Yamunotri Temple Committee on the occasion of Yamuna Jayanti.

Before this, at 8 AM, the palanquin of Maa Yamuna will begin its journey from her winter residence in Kharsali to Yamunotri Dham.

The decision was made at the Yamuna Temple premises in Kharsali village, where it was announced that the temple doors will open at 11:55 am on April 30, during the auspicious Lagna of Rohini Nakshatra Siddha Yoga.

Meanwhile, the portals of Gangotri Dham will open at 10.30 AM on April 30 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. With the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dhams, the Chardham Yatra of this year will commence.

Chardham Yatra 2025 Online Registration

A delegation from the Joint Rotation Travel Arrangements Committee met with the Secretary of Tourism, Sachin Kurve, in Dehradun to address issues related to online registration via OTP on Aadhar cards. The delegation explained the difficulties faced in this process, to which the Secretary assured that OTP will not be mandatory for passengers traveling on Joint Rotation buses. Instead, their registration will be done using the Aadhar card number.

For the Char Dham Yatra, online registration has now been linked to the Aadhar card. During registration, the Aadhar card number must be provided, and an OTP is sent to the mobile number linked with the Aadhar card. Once the OTP is entered, the online registration process is completed.
