Delhi Air Quality Update: As Delhi’s winter intensifies with every passing day, the battle with deteriorating air quality is worsening, as the capital recorded an air quality index of 332 at 8 am on Friday, remaining in the ‘very poor’ category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The city's air quality has deteriorated significantly, from 285 at 8 am on Thursday to 332 at 8 am on Friday.

CPCB data from multiple air quality monitoring stations across Delhi showed that the air remained ‘very poor’ in a major part of the city, with only a few stations registering ‘poor’ levels, below 300 AQI points.

Station-Wise Air Quality In Delhi

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) measures the air quality in the national capital through 40 air quality monitoring stations across Delhi.

One station across 40 monitoring stations recorded ‘severe’ air quality as Jahangir Puri Chokes at 405. The area recorded suffocating toxic air at 8 am on Friday.

5 out of 40 stations recorded only ‘poor’ air quality index, staying below 300 AQI.

Anand Vihar-391, Ashok Vihar-371, Vivek Vihar-388, Bawana-368, Chandni Chowk-366, Dwarka Sector 8- 336, Jahangir Puri-405, Mundka- 372, Wazirpur-389, Burari Crossing-354, and Punjabi Bag-364, NSIT Dwarka- 394

Jahangir Puri recorded a ‘severe’ AQI of 405 on Friday at 8 am, the worst across Delhi.
