The post-mortem report of the body of a 14-year-old boy, which was found in a canal in Samaypur Badli, has confirmed that the sexual assault and 24 stabbings before the body was disposed of.

On June 30, the accused kidnapped the boy, sexually assaulted him, stabbed him to death, and dumped his body in the Munak canal. The body was found on July 1, after which the police started the investigation. The deceased and 12 accused were identified in the case.

The police made the first arrest in the case on July 3 when six accused, including four minors, were arrested. On July 18, the police arrested three other accused from the Kanwar camp in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut.

So far, the police have arrested nine accused, out of whom 6 are minors. The search for the three absconding accused is underway. After the autopsy confirmed sexual assault, the police have added POCSO charges in the kidnapping and murder case.

What did the police say?

Outer-North District Deputy Commissioner of Police Hareshwar V Swami said that on July 1, the Samaypur Badli police station received information about the body of a teenager lying in the Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant. There were several knife wounds on his body. There were some tattoo marks (birds) on the right side of the neck. The body had decayed.

Later, he was identified as a resident of Jeevan Park, Siraspur. The police registered a case of murder and started investigating the matter. It is not yet confirmed how many accused have raped the teenager. The police is also gathering information about this.

According to the police officer, the investigation revealed that the teenager had an old rivalry with the two accused brothers and their friends living in the same area. After this, the police raided the hideout of the two accused and arrested them. Then, based on their information, four minors were also arrested. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused were humiliated and beaten up by the two brothers, who are liquor smugglers, last Diwali.

He suspected that the deceased and some of his friends were informers. He was planning revenge for a long time. On the night of June 30, 10 accused, including the main accused, gathered and kidnapped the minor and beat him. Then they took him to the canal, where all of them tied a towel around the deceased's mouth and killed him by stabbing him with knives several times after stripping him naked.
