Delhi-Dehradun Expressway:The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is taking shape at a rapid pace, overcoming all challenges along the way. According to recent media reports, nearly 80% of the construction work has been completed, and the remaining stretch is expected to be finished soon. Once operational, this expressway will transform travel between Delhi, Dehradun, and Saharanpur, cutting down journey times significantly.
Uttarakhand, often called Devbhoomi (Land of Gods), is a popular destination for tourists and devotees. Currently, reaching various temples and tourist spots in the state requires passing through Dehradun. At present, the Delhi to Dehradun journey takes around 6.5 hours, but with the new expressway, it will be reduced to just 2.5 hours.
This project will not only benefit travellers heading to Dehradun but will also improve connectivity for residents of Saharanpur, making trips to Delhi much easier and faster.

- Delhi in Just 1.5 to 2 Hours
The expressway will bring a huge relief to people travelling from Saharanpur to Delhi, cutting the travel time down to just 1.5 to 2 hours. This will lead to smoother business operations and better access to healthcare facilities.
- Dehradun in Just 30 Minutes
Currently, it takes 2 to 3 hours to reach Dehradun from Saharanpur, which can be a life-threatening delay for critically ill patients needing urgent medical attention. Once the expressway is fully operational, this journey will take only 30 minutes, ensuring faster access to healthcare.

As per News18 reports, about 80% of the construction work on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway has been completed, with the remaining sections expected to be finished by March. The elevated road from Bihari Garh to Dehradun is fully built and passes through scenic hills and forests, making the journey a visual treat for travelers.
