Sarita Vihar Flyover Traffic Update: People commuting from Faridabad to Noida may soon see a significant reduction in traffic congestion during peak hours. With repair work ongoing at the Sarita Vihar Flyover, a growing demand to temporarily open an alternative route is gaining attention, offering a possible solution to the relentless jams faced by daily travelers.
Since July 25, repair work specifically the replacement of an expansion joint has been underway on the lane leading from Faridabad to Ashram via the Sarita Vihar flyover. This partial closure has led to severe traffic congestion, especially during morning and evening rush hours, affecting thousands of commuters.
Amid the disruption, drivers heading to Noida have urged authorities to temporarily open the right-hand turn at the Sarita Vihar traffic signal. This would allow vehicles to divert via Jasola Vihar, bypassing the clogged flyover.
Demand To Open This Route Temporarily
“Due to the repair work on the Sarita Vihar flyover, it takes hours to pass through here. Especially during the morning and evening rush hours, one has to face traffic jams. If the right side road from the Sarita Vihar red light is opened, then the pressure of vehicles on the flyover will be reduced,” said Sandeep Chauhan, a commuter from Faridabad.
Currently, many drivers use the flyover loop to turn toward Noida. However, with the flyover under repair, they’re calling for an immediate, but temporary, alternative route.
“I have to travel from Noida to Faridabad daily for work. Ever since the work on the Sarita Vihar flyover has started, the problem has increased. I use this route more because of the traffic jam at Kalindi Kunj. In such a situation, if the Sarita Vihar cut is opened temporarily, it will provide relief,” said Pankaj Dudeja, a Noida resident.
Acknowledging the concerns, DCP Traffic, South Range Sharad Bhaskar stated, “We will ask the traffic in-charge of the concerned area to get it checked. If it is possible, then efforts will be made to get it opened.”
If the proposed route is cleared, it could ease the daily struggle for thousands navigating between Faridabad and Noida during this period of infrastructure upgrade, reported Jagran.com.
