Noida News: A man living in Panchsheel Greens-1 Society in Greater Noida West was injured after being attacked by a pet dog inside the building premises. The incident, which occurred on Thursday morning, has sparked concerns about the management’s response and pet safety measures in the society.
The resident, identified as Himanshu from Tower C-1, was descending the stairs from his 11th floor flat around 9:45 AM when the incident took place. As he reached a lower floor, he came across two women walking their dog. The dog, which reportedly was not wearing a muzzle, lunged at Himanshu and left a scratch on his leg. It is also alleged that the owner was not holding the leash properly.

Himanshu later received an anti-rabies vaccination as a precaution. Following the incident, he tried contacting a member of the Apartment Owners Association (AOA), but claimed his calls were ignored. He also sent an e-mail detailing the situation and demanded clarity on rules related to keeping dogs in the society.
According to Himanshu, the dog became aggressive and barked continuously, making him fearful of a more serious attack. He claimed the AOA failed to offer any assistance, even though the dog owner acknowledged the incident.
Meanwhile, AOA President Suresh Sharma said no formal complaint had been received. He added that he was present in the society office on both Saturday and Sunday but no information was brought to him. Sharma also stated that clear guidelines have been issued to all residents regarding pet rules. These include mandatory use of muzzles during walks, not taking pets into parks, and avoiding the use of lifts when other residents are present.
