Himachal Budget 2025: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday made big announcements in the state budget. The CM announced an increase in the honorarium of the Zilla Parishad employees along with a comprehensive scheme that will be implemented for MNREGA workers. Additionally, CM Sukhu has announced a plan to expand the airport in Kangra district.

Honorarium Of Zilla Parishad To Be Increased

Now the honorarium of the Zilla Parishad will be increased by Rs 1000, which will make it Rs 25,000 per month. Apart from this, the honorarium of the Panchayat Samiti President and Vice President has also been increased.

This step has been taken with the objective of encouraging the work of panchayat representatives and local bodies.

Special Scheme For MNREGA Workers

CM Sukhu also announced that a comprehensive scheme will be implemented for MNREGA workers. Under this, the daily wage of MNREGA workers will be increased by Rs 20 to Rs 320, so that their standard of living can be improved.

Expansion Of Airport In Kangra District

CM Sukhu said that to bring Kangra airport on the international tourist map, it will be expanded in a time-bound manner. A provision has been made to spend Rs 3000 crore on this project in the new financial year. Apart from this, the matter of Balh airport will also be raised at the time of Airport Authority.
