Jammu And Kashmir Landslide: Seven members of a family are feared dead after a landslide hit their house in a remote village in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir early on Saturday. The Badder village of Mahore witnessed massive landslide triggered by continuous heavy rains in the region.

The local administration launched a rescue operation to trace the missing family. The owner of the house, Nazir Ahmad, his wife and five minor sons are missing and are feared dead.

JKNC MLA Khurshied Ahmed confirmed the deaths, saying in Mahore tehsil, there was a small village - Karada, where the incident took place.

"An incident of a cloudburst occurred there last night. One Nazeer Ahmed, his wife Wazeera Begum and their five children have died. We had never seen such heavy rainfall for years. The villagers have recovered the bodies this morning," he added.

3 People Dead In Ramban Cloudburst Amid Rain Fury

Another tragic incident occurred in Ramban, where three people were killed after a cloudburst in the early hours of Saturday. The officials said two people are missing in the Rajgad area. A rescue operation was underway to trace them.

"Three people have died due to heavy rains and flash floods in the Rajgad area of Ramban. Two people are reported missing, and a rescue operation is going on," the District Administration was quoted as saying by ANI.
