West Bengal is currently coping with the consequences of Cyclone Remal, which destroyed trees and toppled electricity lines, among other major disruptions.

The monsoon is projected to arrive in West Bengal between June 10 and June 29. HR Biswas, Head of RMC Kolkata, stated that there is no direct correlation between the onset dates in Kerala and South Bengal, although they typically count approximately ten days between them. The monsoon's arrival in West Bengal can be forecast more precisely once it reaches Kerala.
