Maharashtra: A fire broke out early Sunday morning in a five-storey building in Thane, Maharashtra, leading to the evacuation of around 250 residents. The fire started at approximately 5 am in a laundry shop on the ground floor of the building located in the Wagle Estate area of Srinagar, officials reported.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all residents were safely evacuated. Local fire services and the regional disaster management team were quickly alerted and arrived on the scene to control the blaze and carry out the evacuation process.

The fire was successfully extinguished within an hour, allowing residents to return to their homes. Authorities have started an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
