MP Shocker: Jilted Lover Sits On Nurse's Chest, Slits Her Throat On Hospital Floor; Flees After Failing To Kill Self

MP Nurse Murder Case: A shocking incident was reported in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur district in which an unidentified person murdered a 23-year-old trainee nurse amid onlookers in a hospital on Friday. The accused sit on her chest and slit her throat in the presence of several people at the hospital.

The video of the attack shows Abhishek Koshti, the accused, slitting the nurse's throat but no one from bystanders, including hospital staff came forward to help her. When she was screaming while bleeding on the hospital floor some even ignored her plead and walked past.

Accused Attempts To Slit His Own Throat

According to NDTV, Koshti was obsessed with her. The brutal act by the attacker lasted around 10 minutes, but no one could stop him. He also tried to slit his own throat but failed. He fled the hospital on a bike parked outside. There were security guards at the hospital but they too did not stop him, which raised security concerns at the hospital.

The accused slit the throat of Sandhya Choudhary with a knife and all efforts are on to nab the accused, said Kotwali police station in charge Gaurav Ghate.

"The city has been cordoned off to nab the person. The motive behind the crime has not been ascertained," Ghate told reporters.

District hospital civil surgeon Dr GC Chaurasia said he was in his office when he heard shouts of people and saw commotion around.

"We found our hospital's trainee nurse Sandhya lying motionless in a pool of blood. Her throat had been slit," Chaurasia said.

A murder case has been registered and a further probe is underway, Ghate said.
