NCR New Timetable 2026: The Northern Central Railway has announced exciting news for train passengers. The NCR Railway has introduced a new timetable, effective from 1st January 2026, featuring several changes aimed at improving convenience, saving time, and enhancing connectivity. With ongoing double-tracking, electrification, and other infrastructure upgrades, trains will now run faster, benefiting passengers across the region.

The key highlight of the NCR New Timetable 2026 is the launch of 20 new train pairs, including several superfast services, as well as Amrit Bharat Express, Vande Bharat, and Rajdhani-class premium trains.

These new trains will provide enhanced direct and fast connectivity between key states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand.

NCR New Timetable 2026: New Trains On These Routes

- A daily superfast express service from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar to New Delhi.

- A weekly Amrit Bharat Express from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Saharsa.

- A weekly express service from Nanded to Firozpur.

- A Vande Bharat Express service from Khajuraho to Varanasi.

NCR New Timetable 2026: 11 Trains Extended to New Destinations & 24 Trains to Stop at New Stations

According to a report from Jagran.com, 11 train pairs have been extended to cover new routes:

- The train from Prayagraj to Bikaner will now continue on to Lalgarh.

- The Ahmedabad-Patna Azimabad Express will extend to Rajgir.

- The Pune-Danapur Express will now reach Supaul.

- The Gwalior-Bhopal Intercity will now operate daily, up from its previous 5-day schedule.

Additionally, 24 trains will stop at new stations on an experimental basis, in response to passenger demand. These new stops include Orchha, Datia, Pukhrayan, Banmore, and Barsana. The stop times at major stations such as Aligarh, Manikpur, and Agra Cantt will also be extended by 5 minutes.

NCR New Timetable 2026: Changes to Train Numbers

Many trains are being upgraded from non-superfast to superfast or from ICF to MEMU/LHB coaches. These upgrades will make trains faster and more comfortable. Additionally, some services will have revised operating days, making the timetable more convenient for passengers.

NCR New Timetable 2026: Increased Speeds on Select Trains

Several trains will now arrive earlier or depart sooner due to adjustments in timings. A total of 54 trains across the Prayagraj, Kanpur, Jhansi, and Agra divisions will have improved arrival and departure times. In some cases, the time saved is as much as 35 minutes. Furthermore, the speeds of 7 trains will be increased, resulting in reduced travel times of between 10 and 55 minutes on certain sections of the route.

NCR New Timetable 2026: Special Trains for Festivals and Holidays

Special trains will also be introduced to meet the increased demand during festivals and holidays. These will include weekly and multi-day special services, such as:

- Rani Kamlapati-Agartala Express

- Hyderabad-Gorakhpur Express

- Subedarganj-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express

- Hubballi Junction (Hubli)-YNRK/Yog Nagari Rishikesh Express
