Hyderabad Woman Death: A man fled the hospital after his girlfriend was declared dead in Hyderabad. Police on Tuesday said a 29-year-old woman along with her boyfriend, both natives of Visakhapatnam, had checked into the hotel at Madhapur on September 21. The woman was found unconscious and was shifted to a private hospital by her boyfriend along with the hotel staff, where doctors declared her brought dead.
The preliminary enquiry found that there injury marks on her face. On examination, injuries were noticed on the face of the deceased. According to police, the woman had severe injuries and swelling on her face and head, suggesting she had been assaulted. Her body has been sent to Osmania General Hospital for an autopsy.
After the incident, the woman's boyfriend fled the hospital, police said. The police team visited the hotel room and the scene was secured for collection of evidence.
The woman's boyfriend has switched off his mobile phone and special teams have been deployed to trace and apprehend him, police said.
Police Issue Statement
Police issued a statement, saying the woman used to work with a private company and the couple had come to the hotel around 2 pm on Monday.
Police further said that a hospital in Kothaguda informed the police that a man had brought the unconscious woman to the hospital with the help of hotel staff.
Police Are Examining CCTV Footage
Special teams have been deployed to catch the woman's boyfriend. Police started examining his call details. Police said his last location was found near Secunderabad railway station. CCTV footage from the hotel and surrounding areas is being checked to trace the couple's movements.
"Investigators are yet to ascertain the exact sequence of events that led to the death, and a team has been formed to arrest the deceased's boyfriend," they said.
