NHAI Toll Hike 2025: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has raised toll prices on national roads and expressways by an average of 4 to 5 percent on highway segments nationwide, meaning that commuters would have to pay extra for their travels. According to a senior highways ministry official who spoke to PTI, the updated toll prices for drivers on national highways nationwide went into effect on Tuesday, April 1.

The NHAI notifies toll rate increases for all national roads and expressways separately.

He said that the toll fee adjustment is a yearly process to update the rates that are linked to changes in the wholesale price index-based inflation. It is put into effect every year on April 1.

The travellers on important roads around the nation, such as the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and the Delhi-Meerut Expressways, would be impacted by the updated prices.
