Railway News: The Railway on Saturday announced that 150 Puja Special Trains will operate between September 21 and November 30 in several states to manage the crowd. It further stated that the decision was taken after receiving several requests from the authorities and the passengers. While providing details, the authority stated that all these trains will operate a total of 2024 additional trips. The officials also asserted that the operation of extra trains will provide relief to the passengers of several states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Jharkhand. It further advised the passengers to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid the rush.

While providing details, Northeast Railway's Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh stated that more than 12,000 special trains have been announced in the upcoming months for the convenience of passengers going to Bihar. The officials stated that the South Central Railway will operate the maximum number of 48 trains for ten days, adding that the trains will complete 684 trips. The officials further stated that East Central Railway will operate 14 trains, which will pass through several stations of Bihar, including Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga, and Muzaffarpur.

Apart from this, 24 special trains will operate from West Bengal's crowded railway stations like Kolkata, Sealdah, and Howrah to provide relief to the passengers of the nearby regions. The officials further stated that Western Railway has announced 24 special trains from cities like Mumbai, Surat, and Vadodara, which will complete 204 trips. They further stated that the Southern Railway will operate 10 trains from key stations, including Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai.

The authority further stated that the special trains will also connect stations like Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Sambalpur from East Coast Railway and Ranchi and Tatanagar from South East Railway. It further stated that the special trains will also connect Prayagraj and Kanpur from the North Central Railway.
