A 28-year-old woman reportedly tried to hang herself at her home in Gujarat’s Vadodara district on Friday evening after her husband refused to come home for tea. The woman, who is married to a doctor, first made a video call to him and showed him a dupatta that she would use to end her life if the man didn't turn up home for the tea.
The husband, who was busy at work, rushed home and found his wife hanging. He brought her down and took her to a hospital for treatment following which police were informed an investigation was launched into the incident which took place on Friday in the Bhayli area.
Vadodara taluka police station sub-inspector JU Gohil said the details of the incident have been narrated to the police by the doctor and they are yet to speak to the woman, as reported by Times of India.

The woman’s parents have not filed any complaint against the husband. Police are waiting to record the woman’s statement, who is still in the hospital for the complete investigation of the incident as police stated that the details would emerge only after they record the statement of the woman.
