Mohini Ekadashi 2025 Significance: Mohini Ekadashi is celebrated on the 11th day of the bright half in the Hindu month of Vaisakha, which usually occurs during April-May. Mohini Ekadashi vrat is observed by Hindu devotees to seek redemption from past transgressions. As per the Hindu scriptures, Lord Vishnu took the enchanting Mohini Avatar on the day of this significant Ekadashi. Mohini Ekadashi is observed differently in the different Indian regions, with Northern India marking it in the month of Vaisakha, Tamil calendar followers in Chithirai, Bengali calendar in Jyestho and Malayalam calendar in Edava. Apara Ekadashi 2025 Significance: There highly revered and rewarding Apara Ekadashi vrat is observed on the 11th day of the Krishna Paksha in the Hindu month of Jyeshta, falling in May-June. As per the sacred Hindu texts, observing this vrat with devotion and sincerity might grant liberation from sins and help attract good fortune. The other name of this Ekadashi vrat is Achla Ekadashi, and devotees offer prayers to Lord Vishnu in his Trivikrama avatar. The name "Apara" means "limitless," representing the limitless wealth and advantages that can be achieved by devotees following this fast. The Brahma Puran and Padma Puran describe the importance of Apara Ekadashi and its spiritual and worldly benefits. Throughout India, this Ekadashi is observed with faith under various names like Bhadrakali Ekadashi in Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana, where Goddess Bhadra Kali is revered, and Jalakrida Ekadashi in Orissa, observed in the name of Lord Jagannath. By fasting on Apara Ekadashi, devotees pray for Lord Vishnu's blessings, spiritual growth and prosperity.
