Hanuman Jayanti 2024: Since the full moon day of Chaitra month is said to be the day that Sankat Mochan Lord Hanuman was born, Hanuman Jayanti is observed annually on this day. He is revered as the Kalyug deity, and it is believed that worshipping Lord Hanuman on Hanuman Jayanti will bestow the virtue equivalent to a year's worth of worship upon those who are unable to worship him throughout the year. This year, Shri Hanuman Jayanti is being observed on 23rd April 2023.

However, people must avoid making certain mistakes on this day. Let us know which mistakes shouldn’t be made while worshipping Bajrangbali.

Hanuman Jayanti 2024: 5 Mistakes To Avoid While Worshipping Lord Hanuman

1. Do not wear black clothes while worshipping Lord Hanuman as it enrages the Lord and invites misfortune. Always wear orange or red clothes while worshipping the deity.

2. Worshipping a broken or cracked idol or image of Lord Hanuman is considered inauspicious and brings trouble down the road. Hence, make sure not to worship khandit swaroop of Lord Bajrangbali.

3. Since Charanamrit is not a component of Lord Hanuman's devotional rites, it should also not be offered during his worship.
