Apple has just introduced its latest AirTag, an accessory that comes in handy when you want to keep track of any item that is of value to you paired up with Apple's Find My app, this time with an extended range coupled with a loudspeaker. Apple claims users have shared experiences where they have been reunited with their lost items multiple times, sometimes even containing life-saving medications. An Extended Range
Apple has employed the same second-generation Ultra Wideband chip to run the AirTag, which is there in the iPhone 17 Series lineup, the iPhone Air, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, and the Apple Watch Series 11, which enhances its abilities and makes it easier to find or locate your belongings. It powers the new AirTag, making it easier to locate items. Precision Finding uses haptic feedback, on-screen visuals, and sound to guide users from up to 50 percent farther away than the previous generation.
An upgraded Bluetooth chip helps extend the range. Precision Finding is also available on Apple Watch Series 9 and later, including Apple Watch Ultra 2, allowing users to find their AirTag from their wrist. The AirTag this time is 50 per cent louder as well; compared to its predecessor, it boasts that it can be heard from up to 2x farther than before. Its chime has also received an upgrade. So if your keys are ever stuck deep inside the cushions, AirTag has got your back.
Find My Network
Find My helps users locate AirTag, Apple devices, and supported third-party accessories, while also staying connected with friends and family, without compromising privacy. When an AirTag is out of range of its paired iPhone, the Find My network steps in, using nearby Apple devices and Bluetooth to anonymously relay its approximate location back to the owner.
The new AirTag also works smoothly with Share Item Location on iOS, allowing users to temporarily and securely share an item’s location with trusted parties, such as airlines, to help recover lost or delayed luggage. Apple has partnered with over 50 airlines to support these shared location links in a private and secure way.

Security and Privacy
When it comes to privacy, the AirTag does not physically store location or history data on the device, and its communication with the Find My network is end-to-end encrypted. Even Apple can't track it.
