Meta's Quest devices aim to transform a user's virtual reality experience with a set of new capabilities. In this endeavour, the Facebook parent has now added support for Microsoft Office on its Quest store, a few days after introducing the Xbox Game Pass for these devices, Android Central reported.
According to the report, the free basic Office suite requires a Microsoft ID to sign into the apps and can function on devices including Oculus Quest, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3. Users can download all the packages (Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel) from the Meta Quest store.
The apps are 1.3MB in size and run on the cloud to ensure multitasking on Quest is smooth while juggling through apps in virtual reality. Users can switch across these apps from the menu bar at the base of Quest's software. Plus, running all three apps simultaneously is also possible on the device.

For added functionality, you can also link your Bluetooth accessories with the device, like a Mouse or Keyboard. You can find the 'Devices' option in the Settings app to pair the external device. The accessory can be helpful while typing or precise edits in presentations.
According to the report, Microsoft and Meta partnered to introduce Azure, Office and Windows 11 to the VR experience. Plus, more apps are anticipated in a future roadmap. According to The Verge, the Redmond-headquartered tech giant also plans to bring Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and its collaboration platform Teams on the upcoming Apple Vision Pro.
