Vivo has released another one of its smartphones in China, the Vivo Y600i, and this one joins the company's mid-range offering in the market. The smartphone will be put on sale via the company's website next week. The device comes in a single RAM variant only and sports a Snapdragon 4 series chipset. Inside, there is also an 8,000mAh battery. Let's dive in and take a deeper look at the device.
Vivo Y600i Specifications, Features
The Vivo Y600i comes with a 6.87-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,592 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a 19.9:9 aspect ratio. Vivo says the display covers 90.91 percent of the front of the phone and supports 16.7 million colours, along with 83 percent NTSC colour saturation.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm's 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. It uses an octa-core CPU with six efficiency cores running at 1.95GHz and two performance cores reaching up to 2.2GHz. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 613 GPU. The Y600i gets 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
On the software side, the handset runs OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. It is a dual-SIM smartphone and also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
For photography, Vivo has gone with a single 50-megapixel rear camera. The main camera has an f/1.8 aperture, autofocus and support for up to 10x digital zoom. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.05 aperture and up to 2x digital zoom. Video recording is supported at up to 1080p resolution.
Battery life is another major focus here, with the Vivo Y600i packing a large 8,000mAh battery. It supports 44W wired fast charging.
The phone supports 5G and 4G LTE networks, along with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. It also gets a USB Type-C port and a range of navigation systems, including GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS. Other features include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass and an IR blaster.
Vivo has also given the Y600i IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The handset measures 169.55 x 79.2 x 8.69mm and weighs around 229g.
Vivo Y600i Price, Availability
The Vivo Y600i has been launched in China at CNY 1,999, which is roughly Rs. 29,000 in direct conversion. The phone comes in a single configuration with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage and will be available to buy from September 30 through the Vivo China online store.
