Xiaomi 14 Ultra Launched: Premium Phone With Satellite Connectivity, Flagship Leica Optics Introduced In China; Check Price, Specs

Xiaomi 14 Ultra China Launch: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in its homeland. To begin with, the premium handset gets a titanium frame, quad Leica optics and two-way satellite connectivity. On top of this, for flagship performance, the phone ships with the latest and fastest Qualcomm mobile chip - Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The top-end flagship from Xiaomi is said to go global at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona on February 25. The smartphone maker has already teased the launch of the Xiaomi 14 series globally. Recent activity of the platform's X handle hints that the device could make it to the global launch on the stated date. However, before this, here are the Chinese pricing and specifications of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra Specifications

The handset gets a 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO 12-bit screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000nits peak brightness. It has a thickness of 9.2mm and weighs up to 229.6g. Under the hood, it ships with a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The flagship runs on the latest Xiaomi HyperOS ROM. As for memory, the phone offers up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

The phone offers a 5,300mAh battery with 90W and 80W wireless charging support. Moving to cameras, the 14 Ultra ships with a 50MP 1-inch Sony LYT-900 OIS primary, 50MP ultra-wide and two 50MP telephoto (3.2x and 5x zoom) rear sensors and a 32MP selfie shooter. As for connectivity, the IP68-rated phone offers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. For security, the premium device gets an in-screen fingerprint reader. As for extras, the handset offers two-way satellite communication and stereo speakers for sound.

Here are the variant-wise Chinese pricing of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra:

- 12GB + 256GB - 6,499 Yuan (roughly Rs 74,900)

- 16GB + 512GB - 6,999 Yuan (roughly Rs 80,700)

- 16GB + 1TB - 7,799 Yuan (about Rs 89,900)

The new flagship is available in three shades: White, Blue and Black. This device will likely launch in the global markets on February 25 as a part of the Xiaomi 14 series. No official word of an India debut of the handset is official at the time of filing.
