Viral Video: Being a ‘Manglik’ in India, is considered no joke. For those unaware, a person with a ‘Mangala dosha’, as per Hindu astrology, is called a Manglik, and as per the superstition, many believe that a wedding between a ‘Manglik and a non-Manglik’ can lead to multiple issues. To eliminate those issues, a wedding between a Manglik and a non-Manglik also requires certain specific rituals. With that being clear, it’s understandable how a Manglik partner is looked upon in India. Feeling cheated over a similar issue, a video came forward, where a newlywed woman was seen fighting with her saas over lying about the same.
As per the woman’s allegations, the mother of the groom, not even lied about the boy being a Manglik, but also lied about the family’s surname. The said video was seemingly recorded during an interview of the two by a news channel. As the allegations moved forward, the mother-in-law began to act weird, which made the clip further viral on social media.
The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Arhant Shelby’. It was then reshared by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’, with the caption, “Kalesh over Manglik ladke se jhut bolkar shadi krwadi.”

The video went viral and gained all kinds of reactions from people. Most found the mother-in-law’s reaction at the end hilarious, while some commented on people believing in astrology. Some also chastised the mother-in-law for lying before marriage. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 446K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Manglik sachme work krta hai kya ?
Any experiences? (Does the Manglik thing work? Does anyone have any experience with the same?),” asked a user. “What will happen agar ho bhi gayi toh? I don't understand!! (What will happen if he is?),” commented a second person. “Yeh ab abhi chal rha hai kya? Kahe ka hum 2024 me jee rahe hai (All of this is still going on? I thought we were living in 2024),” added another.
“Ye last me kya tha bhai (What was that at the end?),” asked another person. “What is even happening? I know it's all fun and jokes, but why are people lying before marriage?” wrote a fifth person. “This is maybe because her friend is doing better than her. So she got that allergy from her,” said a sixth user.
