United States President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran on Truth Social on Sunday, threatening an unprecedented military response after Tehran signaled it would soon hit US bases in fresh strikes in the Middle East. Trump’s remarks highlighted a sharp contrast to his earlier statement that US-Iran talks were now "much easier".
"Iran just stated that they are going to hit very hard today, harder than they have ever hit before. They better not do that, because of they do, we will hit them with a force that has never been seen before…" US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social.

Iran Warns Of 'Most Ferocious Offensive Operation In History'
Trump’s response came soon after Iran warned of the “most ferocious offensive operation in history" against Israel and the United States after its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the joint strikes by the two countries.

Earlier when CBS News asked the US President who he thinks is taking decisions after Khamenei's death, Trump said, "I know exactly who, but I can't tell you."
"I don't know, but at some point they'll be calling me to ask who I'd like," Trump stated on being questioned on who will replace the Supreme Leader.

"I'm only being a little sarcastic when I say that," he added.
Trump also said it was now "much easier" to hold talks with Iran.
