A helicopter has crashed near the village of Naryshkino in the Oryol Region's Uritsky District, Russian state media, TASS reported citing the area's Joint Dispatcher Service. "Everything happened near Naryshkino. All the firefighters rushed there," the service reported, adding that the settlement's population was not affected.

The service also clarified to TASS that it currently has no information regarding the helicopter’s ownership. Russian news outlet 112 on Telegram reported that a military helicopter, likely a Mi-8, crashed in the Oryol region, resulting in the crew's death. Initial findings point to a technical malfunction as the cause.
