US-Iran War: In response to US threats to bomb Iran back to the Stone Age, Brigadier General Seyed Majid Moosavi, commander of the Aerospace Force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said that it is the United States, not Iran, that is taking its soldiers back to their graves. He called it 'delusional' for a country with a 250-year history to threaten civilisation over 6,000 years old.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Moosavi said, "It is you who are taking your soldiers to their graves, not Iran, whom you seek to drag back to the Stone Age."

"Hollywood delusions have so poisoned your minds that, with your paltry 250-year history, you threaten a civilisation over 6,000 years old," he added.

US Warns To Bomb Iran 'Back To Stone Age'

The comment came in direct response to a post by Pete Hegseth, the United States Secretary of Defence, who had said: "Back to the Stone Age". His post came hours after US President Donald Trump earlier threatened to bomb Iran "back to the Stone Ages".

"Iran's New Regime President, much less Radicalised and far more intelligent than his predecessors, has just asked the United States of America for a CEASEFIRE! We will consider when the Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear. Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion or, as they say, back to the Stone Ages," he wrote on X.

US-Israel-Iran War

The conflict in the Middle East, which erupted after the United States and Israel launched coordinated airstrikes on Iran on February 28, has now entered its fifth week, with no clear signs of de-escalation. The attacks killed Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Iran bombed assets of the US and its allies in the Gulf and blocked shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial passage for about one-fifth of the world's oil and gas. The blockade has pushed crude oil prices higher and raised energy security concerns in key markets, including China and India.

While the US President has claimed that the US forces will achieve their goals soon, Iran's military has warned of a broader counterstrike.
