Kia Carnival Facelift 2024 Spotted Undisguised For First Time In India; Much Anticipated MPV To Launch Soon?

2024 Kia Carnival Facelift - Design 

The uncamouflaged test mule of the upcoming Carnival MPV reveals several design updates for the fourth-generation Carnival. The front fascia features a more upright nose, a wide grille with chrome accents and vertical headlamps integrated with L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs). The bumper incorporates a small air intake framed by a faux brushed aluminium skid plate. At the rear of the Kia Carnival facelift, the L-shaped design theme continues with tail lamps connected by an LED light bar. The rear bumper combines matte black plastic with faux silver trim. The side profile is characterised by a large glasshouse, sliding rear doors and decorative trim around the rear quarter glass. The test model also appears to ride on larger 18-inch alloy wheels.

2024 Kia Carnival Facelift - Interior 

While the spy shots do not provide a view of the interior of the Kia Carnival MPV, it is expected to align with the global-spec model’s minimalistic design. Key interior features include two 12.3-inch displays, reworked AC and audio controls below the central screen, a rotary drive selector, front and rear dash cameras, a head-up display, a digital rear-view mirror, an updated digital key and ambient lighting along the dashboard. Internationally, the Carnival is available in seven, nine and eleven seat configurations, though the specific options for the Indian market are yet to be confirmed. Safety features are expected to include an ADAS suite with adaptive cruise control, lane change assist and 8 airbags which are standard in the international model.

2024 Kia Carnival Facelift - Powertrain 

Globally, the Kia Carnival is offered with a 3.5-litre petrol engine, a 1.6-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. For the Indian market, the new model is anticipated to retain the 2.2-litre diesel engine from its predecessor that produces a power output of 201 bhp, paired with an automatic transmission.

2024 Kia Carnival Facelift - Expected Price

The new Carnival is expected to launch in India by the festive season this year, with an estimated price range of Rs 35 to Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). It will likely be imported via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route, similar to its predecessor.
