Kia EV3: South Korean automaker Kia is gearing up to launch its fourth electric vehicle, the EV3, globally this year. Kia will first launch the upcoming EV3 in its home market in July before expanding to other regions like Europe. Kia is also likely to launch the EV3 in the Indian market next year, joining the existing Kia EV6 in the Indian market. Kia India aims to enhance its electric vehicle presence by producing locally assembled electric cars in 2025, with the EV3 likely to be the first model to be produced locally. This new addition to Kia's lineup will compete with models like the BYD Atto3 and Hyundai Kona Electric.

Kia EV3 - Battery & Variants
Kia EV3 will be available in two main variants, differentiated by battery size. The standard version will be equipped with a 58.3 kWh battery pack, while the GT Line variant will feature a larger 81.4 kWh battery pack. These battery capacities surpass those of competitors like the BYD Atto3 and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
Kia EV3 - Range & Performance
While Kia has not disclosed the exact range for the standard EV3 variant, the long-range GT Line is expected to offer up to 560 kilometres on a single charge. The standard variant is estimated to provide a range of around 450 kilometres. The EV3's electric motor produces a power output of 210 bhp and 238 Nm of peak torque that allows it to reach a top speed of 170 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds.
Kia EV3 - Interior & Features
Moving inside, the EV3 boasts a modern interior with sustainable upholstery. A standout feature is the 30-inch wide display that integrates a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a digital driver display of the same size. The steering wheel is equipped with controls for drive modes, cruise control, entertainment and navigation. Other interior features include ambient lighting, wireless charging, phone connectivity and automatic climate control. Talking about safety, the Kia EV3 will be equipped with Kia's latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and other safety features.
