Mahindra currently retails only one electric model in its entire lineup, the XUV400 which was recently launched with a new EL Pro variant. However, keeping in mind the increasing demand for EVs in the Indian market, Mahindra is working on several new electric models that are set to be launched in the upcoming months. Recently, three upcoming Mahindra electric vehicles were seen in Ladakh, indicating high-altitude testing by the company.

Mahindra XUV.e8
From these upcoming electric SUVs, Mahindra's inaugural offering will be the electric counterpart of XUV700 and will be referred to as the XUV.e8. Its dimensions will measure 4,740 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,760 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,762 mm.
Mahindra XUV.e9
The Mahindra XUV.e9 is slated to be the brand’s flagship electric SUV model and will also take the form of a coupe SUV. It will feature dimensions of 4,790 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and a height of 1,690 mm, with a wheelbase matching that of the BE.05 at 2,775 mm.
Mahindra BE.05
The BE.05 is positioned as a coupe SUV under Mahindra's new BE brand. The BE.05 will measure 4,370 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and a height of 1,635 mm while boasting a wheelbase of 2,775 mm.

These upcoming EV models will be built on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform, renowned for its scalability to accommodate vehicles ranging from 4.3 metres to 5 metres in length. Mahindra has opted to position the wheels at the corners, with the battery pack integrated into the floorboard. This design ensures a flat floor, promising comfortable travel for occupants seated on the rear seat.
