Tata Altroz Facelift Spotted Testing: Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Altroz Racer in India. Additionally, they're also planning to launch the updated Tata Altroz facelift in the Indian market in 2024. Ahead of its official launch, the Tata Altroz facelift has been spotted testing on Indian roads.

One possible update is borrowing features from the new Tata Nexon SUV, like a larger 26.03 cm TFT screen for the instrument cluster. Currently, the Altroz has a semi digital cluster with an analogue speedometer and a small screen for other details. Moreover, there are speculations for a bigger touchscreen infotainment system for the Altroz, possibly matching the Nexon's 26.03 cm size. This new system would offer more features and advanced connectivity, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Talking about its engine, the specs for the 2024 Tata Altroz won't change. It will continue to be powered by a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5 litre diesel engine along with a CNG variant. All these engines are capable of producing a power output of 110 bhp, 88 bhp and 90 bhp, respectively. The CNG variant produces a power output of 73.5 bhp.

Tata Motors showcased the Altroz Racer at Auto Expo 2023 and it is expected to be launched soon. This sportier version will share its engine with the Nexon that produces a power output of 120 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. Unlike the current Altroz's 5-speed gearbox, the Racer will come with a 6-speed unit. Cosmetic tweaks will also differentiate the Racer from the standard Altroz. In essence, while the regular Altroz won't undergo major changes in 2024, it will receive tech upgrades inspired by the Nexon. Meanwhile, the Altroz Racer will bring a boost in power and a sportier feel to Tata's hatchback lineup.
