Tata Altroz Racer vs Hyundai i20 N Line:Tata Motors is gearing up to launch a new offering in the Indian market, the Altroz Racer. This performance oriented hatchback is scheduled to be launched by early June. Post its launch, it will compete with another powerful model in the segment, the Hyundai i20 N Line. Tata recently teased the Altroz Racer for the first time in India, revealing its sporty design elements. It is also known that this performance oriented hatchback will be equipped with a more powerful engine than its standard model.

Tata Altroz Racer 

Tata Altroz Racer is expected to be priced above Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The Altroz Racer leads ahead in the engine department as it is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol unit from the Nexon. This engine is capable of producing a power output of 120 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. While there has been speculation about an automatic transmission option, it has not yet been confirmed. 

In terms of features, the Altroz Racer is expected to boast features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated leatherette front seats, a 360-degree camera, voice-activated electric sunroof and six airbags as standard.

Hyundai i20 N Line 

On the other hand, the Hyundai i20 N Line is also a very enticing option for customers who are looking to buy a performance focussed hatchback. The Hyundai i20 N Line is available in India with its prices ranging between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12.52 lakh (ex-showroom). 

In terms of engine specs, it is powered by a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine that is capable of churning a power output of 120 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. For transmission, it is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Features onboard the Hyundai i20 N Line include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7-speaker Bose sound system, an air purifier, connected car tech, wireless phone charger and a sunroof.
