KTM India: Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM is gearing up to test its high-capacity motorcycles in the Indian market, including the 990 Duke, 890 Adventure and 1390 SuperDuke R. According to a report by Bikewale, KTM plans to conduct extensive tests on these models in Indian conditions before their official launch.

This is a significant step for the KTM in India as it seeks to strengthen its presence in India’s premium motorcycle segment. This strategy has been devised by past experiences with the 790 Duke, which, despite its good performance, faced several issues in India due to the hot climate and challenging road conditions. By thoroughly testing the new models, KTM aims to identify and resolve potential problems, ensuring a smoother experience for customers.

Alongside testing, KTM is also focused on enhancing the showroom and service experience for its customers. The company is finalising locations and dealerships specifically for these high-capacity motorcycles, initially targeting major metropolitan areas.

Handling and servicing high-capacity motorcycles require a higher level of expertise than lower-capacity bikes. Recognizing this, KTM is committed to adequately training its staff to provide superior service and support to customers.

This includes the 1290 Super Adventure S and the 890 Adventure R along with other models that cater to various segments within the premium motorcycle market. This initiative marks KTM’s effort to address the specific needs of Indian riders and provide a top-notch experience through well-tested bikes and improved customer service.
