To enhance smart policing and curb criminal activities in the city, the police have intensified night patrolling and launched the Roko Toko campaign across streets and localities. The patrolling operation runs daily from 9 PM to 6 AM, with dedicated teams assigned to each ward an hour before the patrol begins.
Each team consists of one police officer and three policemen for motorcycle patrolling, in addition to vehicle-based night patrols and Dial 112 patrols. SP Roshan Kumar personally inspects police stations and patrol areas at night, while all SDPOs have been instructed to conduct night visits.
City Police Station in-charge Shivendra Kumar stated that foot patrols are conducted every night in key locations such as Pali Bridge, Railway Station, Chuna Bhatta Mor, Ambedkar Chowk, Babuganj Mor, Barhapatthar Chowk, and various other streets. Motorcycle patrols complement these efforts, with officers assigned to vehicle checks, intelligence gathering, and crime control under the Roko Toko campaign.
Additionally, police personnel have been directed to monitor local activities closely and report findings to senior officers. Several officers, including Police Station in-charge Shivendra Kumar, Sub-Inspector Pallavi Kumari, Ravi Kumar, Chandrahas Kumar, and Panther Constable Raju Kumar, were actively involved in the Roko Toko investigation campaign.
