Under the Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan, a special campaign is underway to construct toilets for 1,881 Scheduled Caste (SC) families in Kaimur district. According to District Coordinator Narendra Kumar, there are 932 SC hamlets across 11 blocks, with community motivation efforts initiated in 589 of them to encourage toilet construction.
So far, toilets have been built in 244 hamlets. A survey identified 1,881 eligible families without toilets, prompting the district administration to launch a pit-digging and awareness campaign in all SC hamlets.
Motivational efforts continue in the remaining areas, with information being provided on incentives available for toilet construction. The initiative aims to make villages ODF Plus, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene.
