Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar recently celebrated the birthday of his mother. Gracing the occasion, his entire family, including Arjun Tendulkar, was present with pictures getting viral on social media. However, fans were quick to notice SaaniyaChandhok, fiancée of Arjun, in the pictures as well.

Sachin regularly connects with his fans on social media as he shared some heartwarming pictures from the celebration, wishing his mother in Marathi (Sachin's mother tongue). Interestingly, this is the first-ever instance where

Tendulkar, who plays for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, recently got engaged to Saaniya in a ceremony attended by close family and friends as per a report by India Today. Sachin also confirmed the news on Reddit, during an AMA session.

When asked by a fan, the Master Blaster replied, “Yes, he did [get engaged], and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life.”

Saaniya is the daughter of Ravi Ghai, who owns Graviss Group which is a huge player in the food and hospitality industry, including Baskin-Robbins’ India franchise and The Brooklyn Creamery.

Sachin's Special Note On National Sports Day

On the occasion of National Sports Day, Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar expressed happiness while celebrating the "great strides" made by the country in sports and also the fact that country's current sporting achievements are not limited to one or two marquee sports, but rather reflect the nation's diversity.
