IND vs ENG, ODI World Cup 2023: India put up yet another remarkable performance in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 as they thrashed England to claim their sixth successive win in the tournament on Sunday.

The Men in Blue were magnificent with the bowl at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow as they defended 229 runs, bowling out the defending champions for 129 runs in 34.5 overs.

While skipper Rohit Sharma played another marvelous innings of 87 runs to help his team reach a challenging total, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami were clinical enough to give India a 100-run victory.

This was the first time the Rohit-led side defended a total in the ongoing tournament, having chased down totals while batting second in the previous five matches.

He was also seen in a heart-warming celebration with star batter Virat Kohli as the duo shared a passionate hug to leave the fans in happiness.

The 'bromance' instance took place during the second innings when Shami came back into the attack and provided yet another breakthrough by dismissing Moeen Ali in the 24th over.

The aftermath of the wicket was one of the best moments of the match as Virat and Rohit showed their camaraderie, knowing the importance of the wicket with India marching on towards the victory.

While fans were left delighted after India's sixth win of the tournament, they also enjoyed the brotherhood within the team as the videos and photos of Rohit's hug to Virat flooded the internet.

They have been in sublime form in the tournament so far and have been leading the run charts for the Men in Blue and also featuring in the overall list of top run-getters in the tournament.

Rohit Sharma has scored 398 runs in the five innings so far as he stands fourth in the list while Kohli is placed in the sixth spot with 354 runs to his name in as many innings.
