SMAT 2025: Mumbai's star batter Ayush Mhatre has broken Rohit Sharma's record after his brilliant hundred in the ongoing tournament against Vidharbha on Friday. He has become the youngest player in the history of this sport to have smashed a ton in all formats, especially in First-class, List A, and T20.

The youngster also went past Rohit Sharma, who achieved this milestone when he was 19y 339d. He is also lying in third position in this list, as he had achieved this milestone when he was 20, whereas batters like Quinton de Kock and Ahmed Shehzad are also in this list.

Mhatre had scored a brilliant knock of 110 runs off 53 balls and helped the team win the match by seven wickets. The youngster had smashed eight sixes and as many fours and brought up his first hundred in the shortest format.

Mhatre scored this brilliant knock on the same day when he was made the skipper of India's U-19 team for the Asia Cup, which will be held in Dubai next month. On the back of his knock, Mumbai chased the target of 193 runs with 13 balls remaining.

He also stitched a match-winning partnership with Suryakumar Yadav of 88 runs for the third wicket and then a partnership of 85 runs for the 4th wicket with Shivam Dube.

Mhatre also scripted another record of smashing the fastest ton in the history of Youth Tests. He achieved the milestone in 64 balls and helped the team win the match. He was in sublime form in that series as well, as he had scored 340 runs after playing in 4 innings and helped the visitors win the series 2-0.

He also had a dream run while playing for CSK in IPL 2025, where he scored 240 runs after playing in seven matches at a staggering average of 34.28 and a strike rate of 188.97. He has been retained by CSK before the IPL 2026 auction.
