CBSE Class 12 Geography Paper 2026: The CBSE Class 12 Geography paper 2026 is officially over! Students who appeared for the exam today, February 26, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, stepped out of the examination centres with their first reactions. While some found the paper balanced and straightforward, others felt certain sections were unexpectedly tricky.
Teachers have also begun reviewing the downloaded question paper sets and sharing their expert take on the overall difficulty level and pattern. The exam witnessed students attempting a mix of map-based, case study, and theory questions. Multiple sets were circulated across centres, meaning reactions varied. Both students and subject experts agree that those who practised NCERT thoroughly and revised previous year papers had a clear advantage today.

What Did Students Think About the CBSE Class 12 Geography Paper 2026?
One of the student Says, The paper was mostly NCERT-based and manageable. Map work was straightforward. Additionally, the case study questions took more time than expected. I had to plan my time carefully.
Another student, after they came out of the exam hall reacted that a few questions in the human geography section were a little twisted, but overall it was doable. But finally, I was relieved, because the long questions were from chapters I had prepared well.
Students who had solved previous years' papers found the 2026 paper familiar and well-structured. "Solving the 2025 paper helped me understand the pattern and time management," shared a student from Delhi.
CBSE Class 12 Geography Paper Analysis 2026: What Did Experts Say About the Paper?
After the geography paper was over, outside the exam centers one of the expert says from The paper was well-balanced and well within the CBSE syllabus framework. And Map-pointing questions were standard. Students who practised regularly would have scored well.
Additionally, the case study section tested application skills; a positive shift from rote learning. Compared to last year, the paper was slightly more application-oriented but fair in difficulty.
