GATE Registration 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will begin accepting registrations for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 today, August 28. Interested and eligible candidates must apply for the exam through the GATE 2025 official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. GATE 2025 enrollment deadline is September 26.
The GATE registration process for 2025 consists of filling out an application form, submitting documents, choosing two GATE papers and three examination cities, and paying a fee. Applicants are recommended to meet the eligibility requirements before applying for the examination.
IIT Roorkee will hold GATE 2025 on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 for admission to master's programs provided by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, and other collaborating institutes. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based manner with 30 test papers.
GATE 2025 eligibility criteria
Students in their third or higher year of an undergraduate program or who have completed any government-approved degree program in engineering, technology, architecture, science, business, arts, or humanities are eligible to take the GATE 2025 exam.

- Personal information including name as on valid identity, number

The documents necessary for GATE 2025 registration are listed below:
* High-quality photograph of applicants as per required specifications
* High-quality signature of the candidate as per necessary specifications
* Scanned copy of caste certificate in PDF format, if applicable
* Scanned copy of PwD certificate in PDF format, if applicable
* Scanned copy of valid photo ID in PDF format from one of the following: Aadhar-UID, passport, PAN card, voter ID, or Driving License.

The institute asked applicants to make sure their uploaded documents were readable and clear. “Uploading unreadable documents may lead to delays in processing the application and may lead to rejection of candidature,” it said.
