NEET UG Re-Exam 2026: The Bihar and Haryana governments have announced free bus travel facilities for candidates appearing in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21. The initiative aims to help students reach their examination centres without facing transportation difficulties or additional travel expenses.
The decision comes after the National Testing Agency (NTA) rescheduled the NEET UG 2026 exam following allegations of paper leaks and irregularities in the earlier examination. Both state governments said the move is intended to reduce stress and support students during the crucial medical entrance examination.

Bihar Government Announces Free Travel for NEET Candidates
The Bihar government has declared that all students appearing for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be allowed to travel free of cost on state-owned government buses. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said candidates can avail the facility by showing their NEET UG 2026 admit cards while boarding buses.
According to officials, the initiative is expected to benefit thousands of candidates, especially students from economically weaker backgrounds and rural regions who may struggle with travel expenses. The government believes the decision will ensure smoother access to examination centres across the state.
Additional Support Measures in Bihar
Apart from free transportation, the Bihar government has also appealed to local organisations, NGOs, district administrations, and temples to support students and their families during the examination period. Authorities have been instructed to arrange facilities such as drinking water and refreshments at railway stations, bus stands, and other public places.
Students and parents have welcomed the move and called it a student-friendly initiative during a stressful period following the cancellation and rescheduling of the examination.
Haryana Government Provides Free Haryana Roadways Facility
The Haryana government has also announced free travel for NEET UG 2026 re-exam candidates on Haryana Roadways buses. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that students can travel free by showing their NEET UG 2026 admit card while boarding the buses.
Officials said the facility will remain available one day before the examination and on the day of the examination to help candidates comfortably reach their centres on time. Haryana Roadways staff have also been directed to cooperate with students during travel.
Relief for Students Ahead of NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam
The free travel announcement has brought relief to thousands of students and parents, especially those travelling from distant and rural areas. Many candidates had earlier expressed concerns regarding transportation expenses and last-minute travel arrangements due to the sudden re-exam schedule.
Authorities are also expected to implement additional security and monitoring measures for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
