Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 7: Following Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan,' the film 'Gadar 2,' starring Sunny Deol, has emerged as the second movie in 2023 to revitalise Bollywood box office. Featuring Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in significant roles, it has consistently been commanding the box office with its substantial daily earnings. On Thursday, August 17, 'Gadar 2' achieved a remarkable collection of Rs 22 crore. If this momentum continues, it's evident that 'Gadar 2' will soon cross the Rs 300 crore mark as well.

The reunion of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in 'Gadar 2' has successfully drawn substantial crowds to cinema halls nationwide. After the movie's performance on Thursday, its cumulative box office earnings reached Rs 283.35 crore. Additionally, 'Gadar 2' achieved an overall occupancy rate of 35.06 per cent on August 17. About Gadar 2:

In 'Gadar 2', the story revolves around Tara Singh's bold mission to cross the border and rescue his son, played by Utkarsh Sharma, who is held captive in Pakistan. The film is set in Lahore in the year 1971 and effectively maintains the gripping action scenes that the prequel was known for. Simultaneously, it portrays Tara Singh's unwavering fury against those who promote animosity between India and Pakistan.

Anil Sharma helmed the direction of 'Gadar 2', which made its debut on August 11, coinciding with the release of 'OMG 2', starring Akshay Kumar.

A follow-up to the 2001 movie 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha', this sequel is rooted in the same historical context of the Partition of India in 1947. The narrative draws inspiration from the poignant tale of Boota Singh, a former British army soldier, and his heartrending love story with Zainab, a Muslim girl he saved during the tumultuous communal conflicts surrounding the partition. The original film featured Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as the main characters, supported by Amrish Puri and Lillete Dubey.
