Nakuul Mehta Hilariously Calls OTT Show Space Gen-Chandrayaan A Tribute To His Wife. Know Why

Nakuul Mehta is one of the most handsome and talented actors in the entertainment industry. He is currently garnering love from across the country for his role in the web series Space Gen- Chandrayaan. Recently, the Ishqbaaz actor left his fans amused after he gave a funny tribute to his wife when asked about the reason behind taking on this project. Nakuul also spilt the beans on the weirdest reason a director gave for rejecting him.

Nakuul Mehta is receiving immense love for his role in the OTT show Space Gen-Chandrayaan. The actor recently shared a hilarious reason why he took on the role in the series. In a conversation with News 18, he said, "This show is a tribute to my wife. Ever since I’ve known her, she has constantly told me, ‘Give me space,' he said while laughing.

Nakuul further revealed the real reason for taking this role. He shared that it was his curiosity and that led him to do the series and how the series explores patriotism through scientists.

The actor also opened up about a big movie that he was supposed to be a part of, but at the last moment, the director gave the weirdest reason in order to reject him. He recalled, "There was this once very popular producer and director. I was slated to do a sequel to a really beautiful film with him. Everything was done. We shot pictures and got the dates."

Mehta added, "I was at an acting workshop when he called and told me, ‘I was thinking about it. I think you’re too good-looking for the part, ya.’ I said okay. It was the role of a Rajkumar from Rajasthan that I was supposed to play. But I kept thinking, what does my look have to do with what character I was to play? Then I realised that he didn’t have a better excuse to give. I didn’t know what to make of that. I was like, what’s he saying?"

Nakuul further spilt the beans that the movie was never made and the filmmaker also recently went to jail.
