A short promo featuring the trio was released to announce the movie based on a well-liked web show. The Mirzapur movie, which Puneet Krishna created and Gurmmeet Singh directed, is slated to be released in 2026. Additionally, the gangster drama promises the return of some of the series' most beloved characters. Compounder by Abhishek Banerjee is one example of such a character.

Abhishek Bajerjee recently disclosed to a fan that he will be returning to reprise his role which has now moved from the digital world to the opulence of film. His supporters, many of whom have been anxiously awaiting the return of the Compounder to action, have been ecstatic by the news. "It’s confirmed Abhishek Banerjee is returning as Compounder. He was featured in the announcement teaser of the film along with the other prime cast of Mirzapur. It will be exciting for audiences to see him share the screen with Munna Bhaiya once again," as quoted by News18 Showsha.

Abhishek Banerjee's portrayal of Compounder was one of the most discussed aspects of Mirzapur's first season. Despite the character's premature demise in the first season, his dark, edgy rendition of the role captivated the viewers. His fans have been ecstatic about his comeback to the part.
