Netflix's popular Stranger Things series concluded on an unexpected note. The finale episode, which premiered on December 31, raised questions about what happened to Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown and whether she is dead. This comes after the storyline included Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) offering an alternate explanation about Eleven, suggesting that she might have survived after faking her death. Now, Max aka Sadie Sink, shared her opinion on what really happened to Eleven and her fate in the Stranger Things finale.

When asked about the most debated moments in the Stranger Things finale, Sadie Sink, during her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, shared that she believes that Eleven may not have survived the ending. She said, "What do I think? I think she’s dead. I don’t know." When the audience reacted to her statement, she added with a laugh, “Is that a hot take or something?" Fallon joined, in agreement, saying, “I think she is, too.”

Explaining her point, Sink referenced Mike's version of the events in the final episode. She stated, "I think Mike's story is just one last story and then they say goodbye to childhood. But that's just one final tale and that's it." The actress added, "I think it's stronger. That's my interpretation."

The finale of the Netflix series shows Eleven making the sacrifice as she chooses to stay inside the gate between Hawkins and the Upside Down. After an almost 18-month time jump, Mike (Finn Wolfhard) tells Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max, a story that Eleven may have faked her death, escaped to paradise, but this was simply a coping mechanism, according to E! News.

Created by Duffer Brothers, the show debuted on July 15, 2016, on Netflix. Over the years, the hit series concluded with the fifth and final season, which was released in three parts- Volume 1 on November 26, Volume 2 on December 25, and Volume 3, the finale, on December 31, which also premiered in theatres.
