‘This World Is Eventually Selfish’: Arjun Kapoor Shares Cryptic Note On His Instagram; Says ‘It’s In Our DNA’

Arjun Kapoor, known for his movies like Gunday, Ki & Ka, 2 States, Half Girlfriend, among many others, shocked his fans with latest Instagram post on monday. The actor shared a cryptic note on social media sparking speculation about its meaning. Arjun Kapoor referred to 'selfish' people in his post and mentioned that ‘it’s in our DNA’. The Kuttey actor's note read, "A reminder, always remember everyone in this world is eventually selfish. It's not right or wrong, it's just how people eventually are... We all have that bit in our DNA, it's about who allows it to show up & when."

While Arjun Kapoor didn't name anyone in his note, it seemed to hint at a personal experience or a beef. However, it's still not clear what and who he is referring to.

The Gunday actor has had a difficult time growing up, dealing with unprecedented situations in life, including his father Boney Kapoor's second marriage and his mother Mona Shourie Kapoor passing away due to cancer at 49. The 39-year-old star also went through a breakup last year with Malaika Arora, whom he had been dating for a few years. Despite the speculation, the two didn't announce their breakup officially.

At the professional front, Arjun Kapoor is expected to begin shooting for his upcoming movie 'No Entry 2' soon, alongside actors Varun Dhawan and Tamannaah Bhatia. The movie is directed by Anees Bazmee and is expected to be a comedy sequel to the 2005 movie ‘No Entry’. Earlier, Diljit Dosanjh was also a part of the movie, but he left the project earlier this month. The reason for his exit is not known yet.

On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor’s latest movie ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ featured Bhumi Pednekar as his ex-wife Prabhleen and Rakul Preet Singh as his girlfriend Antara. The movie was released in theatres on February 21, 2025 and is now available on OTT platform JioHotstar. The movie revolves around Delhi-based Ankur Chaddha, played by Arjun Kapoor, who gets caught in a love triangle when he decides to move past his failed marriage and give love a second chance. The movie features a series of comedic misunderstandings in Ankur's past and present relationships.

Arjun Kapoor's Instagram note has sparked curiosity among fans and followers, who are eagerly waiting to see what he has in store for them.
