Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Release Date Out: Varun Dhawan has officially announced that his upcoming romantic comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will return to its original release date of June 5, 2026. This move comes after the makers of Yash’s action drama, Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups, decided to postpone their film once again.
Initially, both films were set for a massive box office clash in early June. To avoid the competition, Varun Dhawan had previously moved the release forward to May 22. However, with Toxic no longer arriving on June 4, the path has been cleared for Varun to reclaim his preferred slot.

Varun Dhawan Reclaims Original Release Date For Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai As Yash’s Toxic Is Delayed
On Wednesday, April 29, Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to share a fresh poster and confirm the new date. He wrote, “JUNE 5th 2026 in theatres. Thankful to @thenameisyash and @maddockfilms for helping us reset the calendar as our film hai jawani toh ishq hona hai will now release on its original date. The first film to release post IPL.”
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is a vibrant romantic comedy directed by the veteran filmmaker David Dhawan. The film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, Maniesh Paul, and Jimmy Shergill.

In contrast, Toxic is a gritty period drama directed by Geethu Mohandas. It features Yash in a highly anticipated double role alongside a star-studded female cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Huma Qureshi.
