OMG 2 Box Office Collection Day 10: The movie 'Oh My God 2' is enjoying remarkable success at the box office. The film sustained its positive trajectory on second Sunday (August 20) following an impressive Saturday. Early estimates indicate that the movie witnessed a 20 per cent growth over the weekend while facing against Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' in theatres.
'OMG 2' was one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year. Serving as a sequel to the 2012 hit, the movie stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam following in the footsteps of the original blockbuster that also featured Paresh Rawal.
By day 10, which fell on August 20, the movie successfully earned a net amount of Rs 12.70 crore within India. As a result, its overall box office accumulation has now reached Rs 114.31 crore. On Sunday, 'OMG 2' attained an average theatre occupancy rate of 58.05 per cent.
During the morning screenings, the occupancy rate was recorded at 32.59 per cent, which later rose to 64.89 per cent in the afternoon, further climbing to 76.73 per cent during the evening, and finally settling at 58.00 per cent during the night showings.

Directed by Amit Rai, the film stars Akshay Kumar in the role of Lord Shiva. 'OMG 2,' a satirical comedy-drama, is a continuation of the 2012 hit movie 'OMG- Oh My God!' The production has been handled by Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah, and Rajesh Bahl. Chandraprakash Diwedi served as the creative producer for the film. The cinematography duties were undertaken by Amalendu Chaudhary.
The creators of the movie had recently shared a video featuring Akshay visiting a cinema and engaging with the audience following a screening of his recent movie. Asking about the audience's thoughts on the film, Akshay humorously commented on how 'OMG 2' received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), suggesting that the movie should be screened in educational institutions. In the movie, Akshay portrays a character inspired by Lord Shiva.
