From time to time, speculations arise about the fate of main characters in TV shows, with rumours swirling about their potential demise or departure. Recently, Anupamaa became the subject of such gossip. The show stands out as one of the top-rated television series, garnering widespread acclaim for its unique storyline and the captivating on-screen chemistry between Anupamaa, which is portrayed by Rupali Ganguly and Anuj Kapadia, played by Gaurav Khanna. However, there have been rumours suggesting that the male lead, would be leaving the show.
The recent report hinting at Gaurav's departure from the show have caused a stir. The speculations escalated until Rajan Shahi, the show's producer, stepped in to address the gossip. He promptly dispelled the same, reassuring fans that Gaurav is not leaving the show. "Not at all. The Anupamaa-Anuj relationship is one of the main tracks of the show. Gaurav did bring to my attention some reports suggesting his exit. We had a good laugh about this. The chemistry between Anuj and Anupamaa is amazing, and both actors are playing their parts well."
Gaurav joined the Anupamaa cast in September 2021, playing Anupamaa's college friend who harboured feelings for her despite her marriage to Vanraj. Fate reunited them after years, with Anuj supporting Anupamaa through her tumultuous relationship with Vanraj. Anuj eventually confessed his love, reciprocated by Anupamaa, leading to their marriage. Despite later separating, their love endured.
