Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's film 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' has taken a dip at the box office with the entry of Tom Cruise's 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One' which hit theaters on July 12. The Sameer Vidwans' directorial had a steady box office record and entered Rs 100 crore club including the domestic and international collection.
'Satyaprem Ki Katha' saw a huge drop on Day 14 i.e. on July 12 and earned only Rs 1.25 crore on Day 14. The lead of the film, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani returned on the big screen for the second time after being seen in last year's blockbuster 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' directed by Anees Baazmee.

'Satyaprem Ki Katha' collected Rs 9.5 crore on its first day and crossed Rs 70 crore mark on July 11 in the domestic market. However, now with the release of Tom Cruise's action entertainer, the Kartik Aaryan-led drama showcases no chance of revival.

However, according to a report in India Today, 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' minted over Rs 1.25 crore in India on Day 14, taking the total domestic collection to be around Rs 71. 41 crore and has an overall occupancy of 13.79 percent on July 12.
Talking about the film, the stellar cast also includes Supriya Pathak Kapur, Gajraj Rao, Siddharth Randheria, Anooradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirrmite Saawaant, and Shikha Talsania.
The film marks the collaboration between Namah Pictures and NGE banners, as Sajid Nadiadwala, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora, and Sameer Vidwans won a National Award for their respective films in the past.
